LED quantity and height

I have 2 Bloomspect 1200w (actual wattage of 250-260w each on veg+bloom setting) and 2 Bloomspect 1000w. I don’t really plan to add the 1000s unless I need them during flower. My space is 3x3x6.

Plants are about 3 weeks old, one is ~6” one is ~8” same strain (platinum jack) but growing completely different. One is super compact and bushy the other is a bit taller and spaced out. Still not showing any signs of sex but hearing and reading the taller one may be male? Anyway...

I started out running 1 of the 1200w at roughly 30” on just the veg setting, now it’s at about 24” and plants are doing good.

My question is this... should I add the second 1200w and move the lights back up to around 30”? Should I start it higher and move them down gradually? Or would it be best to stick with one for now and continue to adjust height until later on?

Personally I would stick with the one light for veg, throw the second on when you flip to flower. I’m not familiar with the light but 250w actual should be fine to get you most of the way through veg.

Don’t sweat about the plants not growing the same structure. It sounds like you’ve got two different pheno’s.

That my initial thought, however it is 250w on veg+bloom, so I’d assume somewhere in the 110-130w watt range on veg only. Do you think one is still enough?

Turn on veg and bloom switches. Never run with just a veg switch on.
