Well, we moved a few seedlings from paper towels into Jiffy pellets a coupla weeks ago. One of them blew right thru the Jiffy pellet in about 4 days. I was shocked to see the thin white root sticking about half an inch out thru the bottom. We quickly moved both seedlings to deeper starter pots, but I think the seedling that shot thru went into shock because it just sat there for about a week doing nothing. It's beginning to recover but I hated making a newb mistake and discouraging the little girl's enthusiasm.

What's the exact brand of the LED light?

Could be stress. . But I assume it's growing a bigger root system. It's gotta be good on the bottom before it focuses on the top

jartlow, you make a good point. I'm not an impatient teenager but I've been acting like one. Looking at them way too often, fretting about this or that. Easy to see how people get themselves worked up into a lather and make things worse.

EDIT: Whoops, I included an attachment, then changed my mind, now the attachment won't go away. Nevermind...
