LEDs for my mothers...opinions?

so i have two mothers i was raising under a 1000w HPS, but i turned the intensity down to 75% after a week because they looked to be stretching...so that i could keep the light close to them so they wouldn't stretch so fast, does anyone have any info on light intensity in this case...?

Second, how do you guys feel about LEDs ? I moved the mothers a week a go to the bathroom so i can construct a tent and put them under my new 90w LED w three colors...says its output is equal to 390w and the mothers have been doing fine, the leaves actually look better now then they did under the HPS1000w at 75%... A friend said LEDs give off too much radiation and i know my woman uses LED light after getting her nails done to harden whatever it is she puts on them at the salon, so my question is has anyone heard or know of LEDs being a bad idea?

third...has anyone had any experience w RKS or Johnny St Clair INDICA VIPER....the latter is doing much better btw than the RKS... and i will be cloning here in a day...

how tall are they? maybe time to start new mothers?

LED would be perfect for mothers. The LED's i run all keep codes tighter while in veg compared to everything else ive ran. mh, t5. although i currently use t5 for veg, which would be another good alternative, with the better light coverage of t5's
your friend is an idiot.

my led's also seem to make my plants look more healthy. MUCH darker leaves, hitting near black at time, with some strains. if i wouldnt have had heat issues, and could figure out my flower nute ratio so I wouldnt burn, things would be going amazing. lol

LEDs are rated to compare, but they are a bit off. I would put a 240w led (actual 120w draw) comparable to a 400w.

I noticed the leaves ARE getting darker green under the LED, like i said they look alot better than when they were under the 1000w HPS at 75% intensity...
I noticed your MICH MED tag at bottom, im not too far from you and spent a weeknd up there at MEDGROW a yr and a half a go to check out how things were going...met some cool enthusiasts w alot of knowledge..good experience, considering it is ran by a bunch a HEADS...lol

yeah then i would get them started over. clone out what you need. if you know anyone, and are comfy doing it see if anyone wants to buy some cheap clones, $5 or something, make some cash off it.

yeah i currently run both. as of now, i have led on one side and HPS on the other side of the room. going to consolidate the grow, and throw 2 x 1000w in XXXL air cooled hoods. then throw the LED's around and in between.
LED are great for the spectrum, and they do produce a better quality, better looking bud IMO, they just dont offer on the yield as of yet. (unless you get a true high wattage light for a few thousand)

yeah. its a mess here in michigan, but we sure as hell know how to grow, and were not flooding with the OG kush craze bullshit like cali seems to be. There are much better hidden genetics.

MI did have its strain craze, in NL #5 and White Widow, but i LOVE both of them, much more than any OG or OG cross.
