Left Shark steals Perry's thunder. Grumpy cat threatened.

Ok, left shark is trending like mad. Sometimes I really love modern culture, this is one of those times. I believe that the emphasis on the left shark shows strong evidence that society has a sense of humor. There is some hope for us.

I showed my wife the clip from the Superbowl without comment. She immediately focused on that left shark and agreed that it stole the show. What ineffable quality did this shark have? Attitude? The way it muffed its steps?

Apparently the maker of the costume has been hunted down by the throngs of left shark aficionados and they can't keep them in stock. What event are they wearing these too? Mardi Gras I guess.

It seems the left shark has retained a high priced law firm, or at least Katy did. Places that were selling left shark costumes have been contacted to "cease and desist". Some guy also made a 3D model file that one could purchase and print. He was shut down too. The Perry camp has now decided that the left shark was following their instructions by dancing poorly.

So it seems that awkward sharks are now the sole property of Katy Perry.
