Legalization of Marijuana on Guam...

Watsup, I know I'm one of very few, or maybe the only person on RIU from Guam, but I just wanted to express my opinion and hear anyone else's opinion on this subject. A lot of my people are trying to fight this by stating that marijuana is a "gateway" drug and only leads to harder things, but it's complete bullshit! These people don't realize how much we could benefit from this! Crime on Guam would decrease drastically if we were to legalize cannabis...Speaking of crime, the only reason why my government is considering legalizing cannabis, is because someone was murdered, just because a bunch of delinquent little juvenile bastards wanted to steal his marijuana! It's fuckin' ridiculous! Why kill for something that you could easily grow in your backyard! Feel free to post whatever you want, whether positive or negative...

Gateway drug:
Coffee, many friends of mine used to drink alot of coffee.......... now lost to meth because the coffee wasnt working.

The term gateway drug is obsolete nowadays. If they are using the term, they are trying to use scare tactics for prohibition.
 
The gateway is the dealer who starts selling me ganja then consistently "mentions" they also have other drugs that are just as fun. If I could buy my ganja from a reputable source such as a local pharmacy where I can be educated by a certified pharmacist on all the possible effects without being up-sold into harder drugs the whole gateway argument would entirely collapse. I have smoked ganja for a long time and never have I once wanted to try anything else no matter how fucked up my life was/is.

mother's milk leads to heroin and those that weren't breast fed become serial rapists or politicians.
 
Been smoking MJ for over a decade and I've never even been tempted to take any other drug. Or commit any crime other than the morally-acceptable if legally-unacceptable ones related to smoking MJ.

A lot of people here are obese, but i wouldn't say 90%, thats just way too much, i would probably say a majority is, maybe 60%, people here have just gotten really lazy...either that or they just get some major munchies!

haha, you are right, 100% of heroin addicts have drunken milk at some point in their lives, but not all milk drinkers turn out to be heroin addicts, sometimes they just turn out to be public masturbating psycho-paths! (like my neighbor...O_O)

Since California will be voting on Legalization of cannabis, (and Saipan is another island that's also under U.S. jurisdiction that's considering this too) why shouldn't Guam?

If Guam legalized Cannabis, no-one could claim money for it......because it grows for free!!! So long organized crime & unorganized criminals!! Hello Tourist!!!!

...& HELLO CANNABIS HEMP'S 60,000+ INDUSTIAL USES!!! INCLUDING THE #1 reason God gave it to man kind: RECREATION ("HEY BOY, -GO SMOKE!").

FUCK YEAH MAN! We really need to end this $20 greed on Guam, there is kush here, I grow OG, but that's not on sale, i grow strictly for personal use! so everyone else here can smoke their over-priced, unknown marijuana, which is probably mixed with coconut leaves and provides a 30 minute light high, while i sit on my couch, look at my blank tv screen, spacing out like a motherfucker! haha
 
The entire gateway theory is only supported by prohibition, legal marijuana breaks this entire theory down to shreds, Marijuana can only be considered a gateway because it is illegal, Criminals sell not just marijuana but others drugs and they offer the other drugs to their clients...In a sense its also a GATEWAY for an inspiring criminal to have success..The gateway to the criminal empire :D

you are right deprave, the drug dealers in my area use marijuana to broaden their sales demographic, by selling marijuana, they bring a whole different class of customers, then they offer other drugs claiming that the high is even better, and it's just as safe as cannabis, thus making thousands of dollars...
