I have done this in the past. Wondering if anyone on here regularly uses Lemon water or Lemon juice for ph down. I noticed that im using a lot of PH down nowadays. My tap comes out rather high at 8.0-9.2 So i have to correct it quite a bit to get the desired 5.9-6.3

My question is.. Is there any cons to using Lemons or Lemon juice as ph down?

yes and no . if you use lemon extract then you know how much to put in per gallon of water it never changes . if squeezing lemons pain in the ass guessing game . if the ph is where you need it your good . think about it lemon juice is organic that ph down solution is not . the ph up is harsh shit .

I've always used vinegar for pH down, works fine and I know there are people on this forum who have been doing it for years with no ill effects.

Awesome to hear. So you could use lemon extract.. I wonder what kind of ratios would equal a General Hydro PH down Bottle. I had to use so much of that BS this morning... Had to correct about 50 gallons from 9.8 to 6.0 , It seems as the heat increases where I live.. So is the PH levels. Last year they were at 7.0 now its close to 10!! crazy =/..In any case Im going to order some pure Lemon extract and start saving some $$ in the long run. I imagine that the Lemons provide much more then just a PH correction as well. Look forward to using it.
