if i had a couple autoflowering in a 1 and a half gallon pot--say 18 or so inches tall and startin to bud just say.my question would be this-----should i put in a larger pot say 4 gallon wider than tall or leave them alone-----if i had some!!! they would be outside if i had them

It depends on what your definition of "starting to bud" is. If they are 21 days old, I would say go ahead and do the transplant. Much longer than that, I would be hesitant. How old are they? Got pics?

Most autos are supposed to be started in the same pot they will finish in. This is due to their short life span, they do not have enough time to handle the shock of a transplant and then grow new roots. If you transplant, especially now, you will probably hurt your yield.

yes!!! bigger the pot the better. you will see an instant growth spurt. but make sure to really be agressive when you loosen your roots, make sure they are pointing everywhere, get a fork and scrapethe sides raoughly, its alright if some roots get ripped they will repair so fast with their new space

I'd say 7-10 weeks depending on strain. But I don't have the most experience on these.

If you follow my methods carefully, there will be no stress, and you should see a growth spurt.
DO NOT spread the roots. This causes stress!
With autoflowering plants, they'll be fine in 3 gallon pots, but 5 gallons is better. Smaller just limits yield.
