she is about ... 3 weeks old almost and small as hell. im about to pour gasoline on this one. anyone have any idea whats wrong with her? i think her bottom leaves are turning purple a little in the bottom veins, and they are a bit yellow ... i thought she was supposed to be green.

light cycle is 18/6
nutes are canna , in coco
ph is usually around 6-6.5
been watering once a day with 1/2 strength for 2 days
been a slow grower from the beginning
lights are 400 watt hps 13 inches away from canopy

thank you for all your help! wesmkdro bongsmilie

Purple stems.

1. Some plants naturally have purple stems.

2. Purpling of leaves and leaf stems can indicate a phosphorus deficiency or over fertilization causing nutrient lock out which looks like a deficiency.

3. Cold temps and large temp fluctuations between day and night can cause purpling.

i think you are overwatering, light obviously WAY to far away from her, you can see from the STREEEEEEETCHING. And im guessing you probaly started watering with nutes from the beggining! That would def. not be good my friend!

yeah... coco has no nutes in it...
your basically running hydro in soil when using coco...
your waterings should be alot closer to weekly, instead of daily....
i reccomend flush the ever living fuck out of the plant, and let it dry out for a good 4-5 days... then feed it some nutes.
most seedlings dont need anything for about 3 weeks.
im guessing yours in burning all its available N to grow roots...
have patience.

and a 400w hps 14" away is overkill..... the plant isnt stretching at all.
if it was stretching there would be space between nodes. from the pics, you can see his node spacing is actually very compact.
alot of strains stretch when coming out of the soil. its natural, in the wild thats what gets the seedlings canopy above the grassline...

Kinda looks like your soil has poor drainage, as well. That will also cause you problems.

water LESS... If you have nutrients in your soil (causing Nutrient burn) then anytime you water you will give your plant food and getting too many nutrients. Water Good, All the way wet then wait for it to just about dry and water again. I water ever 3 - 4 days but I'm flowering.
