hey does anyone know if you can put like hps lights, cfl lights, in a normal lamp for incandescent?? thanks

You can use many CFLs (the twisty kind) in regular sockets. But no HID lights that I'm aware of will work in a regular socket.

Any HID bulb (which includes CFL's) needs an appropriate ballast. In domestic, incandescent replacements ,(the twisty ones) the ballast is integral with bulb. Higher voltage CFL's MH's and HPS"s require separate ballasts ,again matched to bulb wattage. Normally these bulbs are mogul base , not the common medium base of household light fixtures.

even if a small hps bulb will screw in to the socket dont do it they must have the ballast
