Light burn, help!

My plant is lightburnt by my 100watt cfl. its a baby pretty much still @ beginning of second week since sprout. @@

Can it be saved? can I pop another bean and start over if it can't be saved? its the end of may so probably right?

I had it on 24 hour light and today like an idiot i lowered it a bit thinking it should be okay.. (still a noob, so embarrassing @@)

a couple of hours later, looked at it and both of the outer true leaves were like 40% heat burnt.. and one of the inner ones that was beginning to come out good..

Can it be saved? I am switching it to 18-6... It's in the dark right now, hopefully recouping D:

It's recovering after a 6 hour dark period and has been in the light for 8 hours since. recovered maybe 20% but still growing too.

It should be okay right?

It's day 8 since sprout, should I consider it Veg Day 1 since i switched to 18-6 or was it technically already vegging?

The burn looks pretty bad.. D: It seems to be recovering a bit though, it was worse when I caught it.

It's in a very small pot like 1-2 inches. I was going to put it outside after another week. Transplanting it right now wouldn't be good right? :S

Should I keep it inside and transplant it to a larger one while it recovers and let it veg for a few extra weeks or put it outside like I was going to?

What kind of soil. Try to put all the info of everything....
I dont think its burned by the light..
Also do you give it nutes?
And whats the temps?

CFL's dont give off that much heat so im a little skeptical to believe its lightburn. not saying your wrong just my opinion. if you can keep your hand close to the light without it becoming uncomfortable then the plant should be fine. i have a smaller CFL (shitty i know) and i could actually put my hand right on the bulb without bing burned. if its still growing it can be saved. the bottom leaves dont produce really any buds anyway so i say keep it growing

doesn't look bad.........the soil looks like brownie mix, though. don't care for it. where's all that wonderful perlite?

It's a 100watt CFL, before lowering the light to about an inch from the plant it was looking great.
3 hours later the tips of 3 of the 4 young true leaves were brown.
Immediately after finding that, I added water and moved the light 3.5 inches away.
I waited till midnight and sealed it away in the dark until 6 am to start the 18-6 cycle.

When I woke up at 6 and placed it back under the light it had seemed to recover maybe 15% and the 2nd set appearing was still growing.
So it should be fine right? lol

lol its not good soil I know D: its from my flowerbed but should be pretty rich in nutrients because of years of decomposing rhododendron leaves and a huge pine that fell on our house last year lol. But its pretty airy. It drains well though I always have to put a paper towel under when I water. Usually once a day when the top soil is completely dry(probably why it drains fast, could dry more). I dont foliar feed any water. I have some black gold potting soil should I put it in that in a bigger pot asap or wait awhile? but i'm skeptic to say its nute burn because it was fine until I lowered the light.

Only day 8 I would start a new, chances are it will not develop to its full potential, it will grow but it will set it back some time to recover.

Just now I stole some perlite from my garden plants and lightly squeezed the sides of my soil loose n poked down some perlite, is that okay?
I also took some black gold potting soil from my bag and added a top layer of that just up to the cotyledon leaves. When I add water it should wash some nutrients from the potting soil into the rest right? maybe this will help save my plant! D: lol

You're probably right. If I start with all black gold potting soil & some perlite stolen from my garden plants it would probably be much better in the same timespan and would have much higher potential right?

Hey man....take it from another newb who heat stressed 2 girls from putting too many cfls too close to new seedlings...if it doesn't show significant improvement (like a good amount of growth) in a few days.....ditch it and start over. I kept mine hanging on for a week (granted...they looked WAY worse than yours) but ultimately even after they "appeared" to perk up....nothing was really happening. If you've got more seeds...learn from this and move on. Why put yourself back several more weeks for something that may not be high quality in the long run?

Making a decent recovery but I am germing another seed. I might just pull it when the seed is ready to go under a light. Unless i'm told otherwise lol.
