light cooling????

I'm not sure what you mean "screen on the front reflector on the back" but yes you do put the ducting on the sides where the holes are to suck heat out. Your going to need a inline fan not a booster fan, and your also going to need to vent the heat into the roof/wall/floor unless your ambient temps are very cool

it has a glass hinged pannel (normally) or they mean a sheet of glass has been put in and set to not be removed
normally it is a screwed in 2 hand twist little things u take it out and it opens to change bulbs..........this is the better of the 2 if can find
there is also the kind with glass slide in and one bolt is locking in from moving..........this is the one u are most likely looking at there

but to change bulbs u turn it off go away for 5 to 20 mins while the fan removes the heat .............turn the fan off loosen the hose clamp on the open end .........put on a pair of gloves(oils on the bulb will make the bulbs go boom ) take out the old one ........clean the new one up and then put it in (do not screw it tight so it does not twist ) it heats up some and that tight u will never get it out again .................put back the venting tighen up the hose clamp turn fan on turn lights on wait 5 mins before u say fuck something is not right (takes time to get right )

and also check the timers on the units before u say a bulb is dead could broken and stuck in off hours

what i ment was, can i just have a fan inside the tent with a carbon filter on the end of it suck the heat from the tent outside the tent or does the fan specificle have to be attached to the light as to not let the fan overheat and pop the bulb

The reflector you linked at greens has a duct port on the front and the back.

This where for a simple air cooled setup you would have the filter attached to some ducting attached to one duct port on the reflector, then some more ducting from the opposite duct port of the reflector into your fan. Then duct out and away from the grow area.

Air cooled hoods really aren't that difficult and if you are having issues understanding them I suggest you go read a little about ventilation and setup.

Haha, it's a n00b question but we were all n00bs once.

I still consider myself a n00b with multiple grows under my belt.

To the OP, you will buy an inline fan to suck air out of the light unit.

You will suspend the fan possibly with chain and tape it onto the port you mentioned at the side of the unit, you will use ducting.

You will also use ducting to take the heat away (out a window, up to the roof, down the cellar) wherever.

I would imagine you would also have ducting on the other end of the unit leading to outside of your tent, to suck in cooler air.

Good luck.
