I use for transition cycle from veg to flower a 6 on and 18 off cycle for a week, and pick off all terminal shoots (the older leaves the ones that will die first ) this will increase the auxin flow prevent stretching and give light to where your flowers will be, and induce more lateral buds. Flush the plant with fresh clean water, and fertlize with flower nutes, Then I slowly move it to 10-12 hours of light then slowly drop it back down to 8, This will cause the plant to get more dense with fresh new flowers, this will also increase your chance of your buds reaching eachother resulting in more full cola branches. To keep from shocking the plant when reducing your hours adujust your times by using a half hour max at beginning and end to fool the plant that winter is coming. This works well with both strains indica and sativa. I invert the lighting cycle because my veg time is 16-18 hours on and 6-8 hours off. I usually always have a high number of trichones everywhere, dense great tasting pot that taste like the seed company describes.
