Light from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. How do i flip it to be on at night?

My temps are running around 90 degrees at canopy level. I am thinking of increasing the size of my passive intake. I am running one of those little 8 inch oscillators from walmart and i just added a clip on fan today. I may wait and see if the extra fan helps since the plants look happy.
I figured worst case if I could switch the light period to night it would lower it a few degrees. But I have already cut down a hermie and would rather not risk another.
From what I have read, 90 degrees is a little above optimal. Does anyone think running 90 will affect yield?

Just leave the lights on for 24 hours to have the lights on at 6pm.....it won't hermie. Is your grow area light proof?90 is a bit high but if that's temps at light level it should be ok,just make sure you have plenty of airflow and good exchange of air(intake and exhaust).
Higher temps definitely effect yield and bud density.GL

I'm light proof. That is light level. Thanks. I'll leave them alone for now, since you guys don't think 90 is too high. I knew it was borderline. Humidity runs around 30% and they get watered every other day.

90F is most certainly pushing the upper limits (without using CO2)......I guess it depends on the strain, as some can handle more heat than others

I also question where people have their thermometers, as mine on the floor are 68-70F, half way up are 72-74F and near the top colas are 78-80F

Also, the temp readings will increase if the face of the thermometer is facing the bulb.

I always try to turn my thermometer sideways so the direct light does not heat up the air between the glass face-plate and the instrument

Good deal. I didnt think about facing it away from the light. My 90 degree temps are about halfway between the canopy and the lights, with the guage facing the lights.

Like I said with higher temps if you have good air exchange.....meaning more co2,you should be ok.It's the same with me...floor level it's 70-72,halfway up(mid-plant) it's 75-78, at the tops its 82-85 and at the lights it's around 90 with good air exchange:).peace

When I hung a thermometer I had it at the light level directly to the side so it's out of the light. With enough air movement in the space the temps in the bottom and top shouldn't be far from each other. 90 is higher than I like, but I've grown indoors up to 95 and outdoors over 100 obviously. For cost purposes in the summer I set my grow ac to 82 and 78 in the winter.

Meant to add, I'd definitely swap your on time to the evening after this finishes.
Definitely going to. I've got another small cab with my mainline clones. I can always start the clones on 12/12 in there while my bigger cab finishes.

Measured floor and canopy. They were 75 and 82. Thanks for giving me the idea. I feel better. lol
