Light help

I just got a newly rooted clone and i need to know exactly how much light would be enough to sustain one plant thru all growing phases. Any suggestions?

1 250hps would be perfect for cloneing flowering budding,But you will need more than 1 room if you are thinking on growing all the time you are going to need 1 for flowering and budding the 250hps would be ok for this the higher the light the bigger the bills i know you can go higher than 250 but if its only for yourself a 250 s fine.then you will need a smaller room with a couple of daylight flouresents for your clones you don't want to be buying seed every grow.but if you not bothered and would be happy to grow from seed everytime just a 250 .i used to have a guy i got clones off at the end of every grow that was ok till he moved miles away. i would advice getting flouresents has well.i started with 1 now i have 1 for clones another for veg and another for budding this way i never run out of smoke and i only have 2 250hps and 1 room with flouresents.
