light or dark

I'm havin some difficulty getting my garden started after moving. Can I put my seeds under a 400w hps in their seedbank or should I leave them in dark for 24hrs to break soil first as I have no other lights to use?

silly question man lol do out door seeds care whether its dark or light? doesent really matter, and sunlights better then no sunlight right? isay go with the flow and keep things green good luck, if seeds are not kept above 60f then they wont even sprout so ur light can help create the heat u need, if no heats nessecerey put them on a timer, a 400 can get hot so just keep it a couple feet away from pots
