light-rails/movers???

Could anybody tell me if using a 2 metre light rail with one 600watt light on is as effective as having two stationary 600's?? the reason i ask is because it will be cheaper to run and easier to keep the temps under control....also if anyone knows of any threads where there being used this would be appreciated. thanks
