Light sched?

Someone with 12/12 experience please. So do i run the lights 12/12 during the sprouting and veg phase aswell? Or only 12/12 when flowering. I germed and planted them yesterday. 1st grow. I got 4x65w 6500k's, 9x23w 6500k's, and 7x23w 2700k's. Trying to keep to a 3:1 (6500k:2700k) ratio untill flowering. Room stays around 77 degrees. Got 10 cups with seeds i just finished germing yesterday. Under lights 24/7 right now for next 6 days so they start to sprout them im turning rest of lights on n switching to 12/12. I just am unsure if they should b under 12/12 now or not

You got my confused as hell or you are, I don't get what the hell your talking about, what do you mean switch to 3flower1veg ratio? You switch 12/12 when you think your plant is Ready to start flowering you can veg it for as long as you want, weeks, months, years, I normally make sure each plant is 24" before I put it into flowering, when you do that it will grow about double the size of veg, If your going to have 10 plants or so 630 watt's isn't much, I had 3200 watt's going on 20ish plants(I'd suggest at least 1,000 watts for that amount of plants), It really depends on what you want, and your budget. I hope that answered your question.

I think the wattage ratings you are seeing are comparable wattage which is not the same. What you have will not actually be running a true 630 watts of light. There will not be a true "veg" state going 12/12 from seed unless I am mistaken. As for your light frequency question, I would gradually add your red spectrum through your growth period and once you start seeing bud development switch almost entirely to your reds.

no those are actual wattages, 60w equiv, 23w actual. i have 9 bulbs that are 23w actual, and 4 bulbs that are 65w actual(100w equiv) or something like that. They are all 6500k lights. I read that a 3:1 ratio on lights work good, ie(6500k:2700k). So for a true 3:1 ratio on all of my lights, i would need a 23w(2700k) with each 65w(6500k) bulb, since it is roughly 1/3 of it its power. I would also need 1(2700k) 23w bulb for ever 3(6500k) 23w bulbs. So i would need to buy 7(2700k) 23w bulbs. Each plant would have 1(6500k)65w and 1(2700k) 23w above it. Along with the other 9(6500k) 23ws, and 3(2700k) 23w space in between and around the plants. That would give me 4(6500k) 65w bulbs, 9(6500k) 23w bulbs, and 7(2700k) 23w bulbs. 4(65w)+9(23w)+7(23w) = 628w(actual) and 4plants 628w/4 =157w per plant of 3:1 ratio lights. I was curious about going 12/12 from seed. i couldnt find any threads explaining it very well. So could i 24/7 lights during the first week of veg so they begin to sprout and then switch it to 12/12 for the remainder of the veg cycle? Then when im ready for them to start flowering do i need to switch my lights to a 3:1 ratio of 2700k:6500k lighting but not change my 12/12 lighting?

There Is 2 sides of the argument here. Some People Swear by 12/12 From Veg to flower, Others(Including myself) only use 12/12 When We wish to switch To The flowering stage . THIS is not the same For Autos. I Have no exp with autos so i wont comment.

Personally myself i run 24/0 for a month (Or When my plants reach The height i want (norm happans in a month for me) Then i switch to 12/12

Ok thanks that was what i thought i just wasnt for sure. Generally how long to sex. Ive read pre sexing somewhere but i havent looked up the process yet. First grow n they going into day 2 as of now.

All they need is a henpecked mother. You got everything going good, the lighting schedule is a matter of opinion, but the light cycle of plants outdoors mimics 18/6 16/8 more regularly than straight 12/12. Think of the deserts of Afghanistan where the Kush is from, to the Hawaiian Tropical Islands where Maui Wowie grows. I just like visualizing that every now and then. That is all.

in aus we have 12/12 in nature. With Sexing It Really depends on the Strain and Also If she has been re-veged. For instance my afgani was 80-90days First run , but should be 70-80days this time. Best Bet is to go buy a jewlers loop or magnifying glass. I Suggest u learn about tricromes. I Harvest Mine Based on them really. I Havest When about 60pc have turned amber because thats my taste. Most of the stuff u get on the street is 100 pc amber(But Higher traces of cbn , lower thc)

If those are actual ratings on wattage you should be good then! Your ideas on the spectrum seem solid imo. Good luck and keep it green man!
