light schedule :veg

hey i have a book called 'closet cultivator' by ed rosenthal. it says that during vegetative growth the plants should recieve continuous light but everywhere else i go people say 18/6. normally i would take the majority's word on the matter but ed rosenthal is a cultivating guru. what should i do?

yea i do 18/6 as well. i may not know as much as others but its working well for me.

has nobody heard of continuous lighting? this book made it sound like that was the norm. it said that a few growers choose not to have continuous lighting but that all that does is make your plants less efficient

Hey PHAN11 listen to the GREAT GURU MOGIE she's right every thing need's to sleep. I only use 24 on my clones{Rarely} that is to force root growth with hard to clone strains. But other than that 18/6 all the way.

I Dunno......

I vegged mine at 24. It's my first indoor grow. Very good results, indeed, however I know no different.

I chose to veg 24 because I read that the "law of diminishing returns" does not apply in the case of plant vegetative development.

I believe the 24 hour veg lighting is endorsed by Jorge Cervantes......
