Light Spacing

Hello RIU!

I got two 1000w HPS hoods, and I can't seem to figure out how far apart the reflectors should be from each other. I know if I put the lights close enough, then I can have 2000w in the middle? Is this a good thing? Please Help!

Are the reflectors in a casing? Pics would be helpful. If the bulbs in a reflective casing you should just put it in a upside down "V" shape as such the light overlaps. I'd say 110 degree angle.
