Light traping

I am wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks for traping light inside but still letting the room vent. Think of half a closet as my grow space and what you would do to keep it looking like a closet instead of a bust waiting to happen. Just want some tips so my closet will still look like a closet and also have proper ventalation.

90 degree bends in the intake/exhaust ports will trap most of the light. If you paint the insides black and throw one mor 90 degree bend in there, forget about it.

To keep the integrity of the closet, you might consider drilling holes through walls, floors, or ceilings not visible from outside the closet and running your ventilation ports through those. Is that a possibility?

You can also have the intake/outake ducting going into containers that allow air into them on the dark side of the container

I don't think i am capable of drilling holes in stuff and getting away with it but i do like the 90 degree bend idea. anyone else?

If you have sliding doors, you can take a 8" wide board and cut it the same hight of your doors and put it in next to your door. Then you can cut your vent holes in the board and still close your closet up. I used a piece of shelving from Lowes. It works in my head I hope it makes sense to you.

90 degree angles will def. work. for the actual vent though. when i first started i created a sorta ducting flange like the ones you see at home depot. the peices of ducting in the shape of a square. but bend it /cut it. so it would be sucking or blowing at the bottom of the door through the space. and you can do this with the top to vent/intake as you need too.

just get a black sheet of plastice and hang it inside the closet to blockthe light and keep your closet door open a tad for ventilation + a small fan on the inside of the plastic for airation
