Temp over light Imo. For example Its winter here and I know the weather like the back of my hand and at the moment I can run 1.4kw hid vert in my 4x4, come summer sometimes I have to drop back to a 600w. I'm always changing it up.

No, but i just might in a couple days after I harvest and Flower my veg plants. I've been putting that off because I like to sleep in a room that doesn't making me sweat all night lol

I tend to feel keeping your grow room an adequate heat at least 80-82f is actually more important for plant metabolism than cramming a shit ton of light down their throat. That being said plant metabolism doesn't mean much if the necessary energy isn't being produced via photosynthesis.
The short answer is run your lights hard enough to create a good temperature conducive to growth and plant respiration.

Woah, thats funny because my temps have been 80-84 F for awhile. I thought the temps were bad and might hermie out

Where I live it is HOT most of the year. You will be amazed at how much heat a plant can handle. In the summer my avg. temps are around 90. Yes that is way above what most books say to grow at but that is my temp in the summer and my plants are chronic. I use a lot of microbes and mycos in my soil and I have to water everyday but they always come out great. So just keep in mind that the plant is very versatile and that it thrives outdoors in super hot temps so why not indoors?
