lighting advice

hello ppl
i am new to all this side of the art ,if it were a carrot no trouble but it not so help !!!!!!. i have come across a 600w sunmaster power pack+600w lamp+reflector. the lamp hasno cable and the pack only has 13amp uk plug and a pc lead plug?do i just rewire the lamp with the female pc socket? i only have one baby but 10 in tall and not sexed yet,but i think it will be to powerful for just one baby ?please help am going to use vivairium.

the ballast should have 2 wires one to plug in to mains the other is a female socket which joins with the wire coming from the light, this enables u to put ballast outside room(less heat), so yes just wire up the lamp with the male/female whichever way it is on yours, and u up and runnin. as for the 600 keep it a good distance from ya baby3-4 ft till a bit older then move it down daily , u might have a heat problem though as they do whack out serious heat, how big is this viv and do u have ventilation etc?
