Ive been looking around on here and couldn't find a distinct answer. Right now im on day 4 from seed. Im under the understanding i can keep my lights on 24/7 for up to 4 weeks then change to possibly 14 on 10 off to try and sex the plant? how long should i keep it 14 on and 10 off before flowering at 12/12? also i need to change my bulbs when they come in the mail tuesday. will i shock the plants turning my lights off, replacing the bulbs, then turning back on again? are there less stressful ways of doing it?

why are you making this so difficult. if you want your plants on 24 hours a day then do it and you can do it as long as you want.. screw the 4 weeks..

you dont change your light cycles to sex your plants unless your flowering. this comes natural its called preflowering..

if you dont like the 24 hours of light just put them on 18 and dont touch it again until flowering.

no you will not stress your plants because you turned off the light

dude, no stress whatsoever. why do 14/10? why not justmake it simple and do 12/12? Although it probably would work, it doesnt seem to make any sense to me.

Not trying to make it difficult i have been informed wrong and like to make sure i have the right information. Not sure what this person was talking about when they were saying change to 14 on 10 off notice the question mark at the end of my sentence. Im only concerned about my lights being on 24/7 just for the reason i would like to save bulb life because i'll be using the same bulbs all through the grow process and hopefully through another grow too. thanks for your help though much appreciated.

leave your lights on 18/6 for vegging. It's the most efficient vegging light cycle. Then when flowering put them straight to 12/12 and leave it at that until done.
