Hey guys! i have a quick question .. I was looking at those clamp on lights to use for a grow .. but I'm not sure if they can support a Y - splitter to fit 2 bulbs into 1 fixture. I dont feel like wiring the wall fixtures to an extension cord and would prefer to buy just those clamp on ones.. so if the fixture supports up to 60w i'd assume itd be stupid to put 2 42w CFL's into it.... maybe i'm wrong .. Do 100w "clamp" fixtures exist? Any tips would be great

Thanks guys.. love the forum!:joint:

Hey thanks for checking out the forum!! .yeah they work if you check out my last grow in my sig I used them(page 5), the clamp is the way to go :p. Put 2 42's in there the splitter holds up to 660 watts, youll be fine.

I think my clamp light is rated for 250w, and the splitter is rated higher than that. I have 2 42w cfls in a splitter right now with absolutely no problems.
