You can but you will have slow growth. For veg blue spectrum is need and for flower red spectrum is needed. But to flower 6 plants that would be an excellent light. What you can do is buy you some cfls for veg or a mh bulb (which still some have problem with heat and burning seedlings, so i would suggest clfs.)

on my last grow i used floros and came out with sum serious dank but a very weak yield. so im hoping by switching to the cfls and hps to increase my yields greatly

If you dont want to burn your seedling ..... then start off with mh or cfls..... till your plant can handle all the light and heat that hps lights generate.....

It looks like you just have to switch hoods, they have one that is for both systems mh/hps but the cfls you can screw into any socket the can supports its wattage. There is a formula, i will look for it for watts of cfl per square foot of your grow room. How many wats did you use in your last cfl grow and how many plants? How many ounces you end up with and what strain?

i had 2 plants -caramella. i used 4 floruesent grow lights from walmart and came out with 1 oz for both plants- but they were sog

Not bad, guess you could have used a bit more light. With cfl lumens are important cause light doesnt penetrate i was reading Humb post today and he had over 41k lumens between 3 plants, i only have 34k so i needs me more light!!!

Well for my light a 23 watt about 1600, an 85w 4200 and a 105w 6900, and i got a light and hood with my SH Bubblponic system that projects over 20k.
