Lighting help

Might be a dumb question but once I put my seeds into soil i should start them on a 18/6 cycle right?

Seeds have enough energy to get started even in total darkness. Once they put out their first two prelim leaves start the light.

If you hit them with light as soon as they break ground you stop the stretch.

I used to put them on 24/0 light cycle...no problems.. and less stress to the plant. (expecially new babies)

UM NO..they will grow faster as long as the light is close to them to avoid stretch.

I always put my seeds under 24/7 light as soon as I plant them in my pots. Always worked for me.

uhoh 2 for no light 2 for yes light lol ... well my plants poked through now with 2 leaves each so i put them on a 18/6

Also im using CFLs and im only growing one to two plants.. How many lights should i have? I currently have 4 65w 5000k CFLs

Where I live, I use the light for heat and leave them under continued 24 until I get 1st leaf then into 18/6.
