lighting hours? help

i was wondering if its better do leave my light on 24/7 or do 18/6?

wuts the difference?

ive been doing 24/7 so far n my plants only a 6dayz old

go to 18/6. darkness promotes root growth. plus it saves on the electric bill..

i like 18/6 or i all so do 12/12 from seed.

some people will say 24/7 but i think the roots need the 6 hours of night.
