Sorry if this seems like a daft question but what's the best time for me start my 18/6 because when I move to 12/12 I want 12/12 hours to start from 8am I don't know if lighting hours might distress the kids...
Well bro, there's a few ways/hours that can be used. Myself, I've always used the 24/24 for the 13+ yrs I've been growing and never had an issue when switching over to the 12/12 period. I also, when ready to flower of course, take my girls from there 24/24 light cycle and gradually cut back the hours of light down alittle bit at a time everyday, till I reach the 12/12 period. I've found this makes the plants start to bloom/show signs of sex sooner it seems to me, then just slamming them into 12/12! I've never had any issues with it bothering them at all!
