Lighting question for SOG.

Hi all and a merry xmas to you all, as the the title says... i'm having a few problems deciding on what lighting to use for a SOG on 4 x 8 ebb and flood table. I am considering to use one of the the following options:-

1. 2 x 1000w lights
2. 2 x 600w lights on a light rail
3. 3 x 600w lights

The grow will be in a sealed room with all the relevant pieces of equipment i.e. a/c, heater, dehumidifier, co2 etc.

Plants will be kept small with no veg time.

I understand that the 1000w will be need to be kept further way from the plant and that this can exponentially reduce the intensity of the light being received by the plants, so i'm wondering would it be of benefit to use 600's so they can be placed lower than the 1000 watters.

Would the 1000w lights really produce much more denser buds then the 600w.

thank you for reading, and your help would be very much appreciated.

Most lights have a more or less square foot print so I'd much rather 2 600's. 50 watts per square feet is the norm so if you split your space in half you got 800 watts needed to meet that. If you put 3 lights you would be just over which is cool but more lights = more heat = more hassle. If cost, heat and electricity use mean nothing to you than 3 600s, if you want to save then 2 600's and a light mover would be my advice.

Thanks for the advice Japanfreak, I think i'm gonna go with 3 600's, hopefully any heat issues can be resolved with the use of a mini-split a/c and air-cooled reflectors like the sun system magnum xxxl, but may leave the air-cooled reflector for the growstar parabolic as i've heard very good things about them. Just been checking your grow log, that's an awesome grow you got there. +rep
