Lights during shroom fruiting?

I am going to let my monotubs sit under a blanket to build up c02 for a week before I give them any light once I get to that stage. I will be using a 24 watt cfl. I have heard 5 hours a day and up to 10 or 12 hours a day. How many hours of light is the best for fruiting?

I know not to radiant the shit out of them! That is why im using a weak ass 24 watt cfl from about 4 ft above them. It's an indoor grow and im not moving monotubs out of their indoor environment to the sun every day. ANC where you at? I need you again.
 
yeah just give it like 12 hours, I tend to use diffused sunlight and clear containers.
The light is handy for getting all the shrooms growing in the same direction, without light they grow weird.

Cool so a 24 watt cfl 3 or 4 ft above my clear monotups for 12 hrs will be fine right?
 
use a jar with the straightest sides you can find to ease sliding the contents out.

I'm having a very hard time with that. Every place online has regular or wide mouth mason canning jars.

then take the wide ones... but don't take the quart jars, take the half quarts... they colonise faster.

The horse poo thread you gave me calls for 6 qt jars per 64 qt monotub. So I should use 12 half qt jars? And should I still put 1 cc in each one?
 
yep, you are a quick learner.

Also you will find unless you have a giantass PC yo uare not gonna fit more than one quart jar in at a time (that's how many my 11litre one takes)
I can get 4 500ml jars in or better yet, 6 x 330ml honey jars and one 500ml in one time for a greater total volume than 4x500.

The pc I'm getting holds 23 qt of liquid or 7 qt jars so I'm good on that.
