I had a power cut today and my lights went off 2 hours before they were due there 12 hours of sleep but only for 5 minutes then back on to finish the last 2 hours of light has anyone ever done this before
Yes many times and don't sweat the short ones. However with HID lighting it MUST be off long enough to cool and fire again.I had a power cut today and my lights went off 2 hours before they were due there 12 hours of sleep but only for 5 minutes then back on to finish the last 2 hours of light has anyone ever done this before
I use Hps lighting my ballast seems to be good though cause the light came back on after 5 minutes with no problems. Thanks for the reply puts my mind at rest alittleMeaning those little blackouts where the lights go off and immediately come back on have to be accounted for.HPS or MH will not reignite that quickly at all. No idea on LED. CFL doesn't give a hoot.
Yes they will after 5 minutes. A UPS is suggested if you get those bump blackouts though. It's the quick blackouts or brownout that causes them to not reignite.I use Hps lighting my ballast seems to be good though cause the light came back on after 5 minutes with no problems.
