I would like to run my HPS lights at night due to the heat of summer days. But is it more suspicious to have that much electricity being used at times when everyone should be asleep?

I've always done this and never had any problems provided you pay your bill on time.

whats size light are you using...5k yes under 1k i wouldnt think to much....

not neccasarily,alot of people work nights,including me so i've often got pc,tv lights on at daft o clock,i'm a new grower on my 1st 2 plants,just sprouted and gonna use lights during day,shouldnt stand out as much as lights in the night,i'm in UK so heat isnt really an issue over here yeah its getting warm day cool night,should be spot on

Not to mention, if someone were to look at your usage,
in an effort to bust you for growing, would it matter what time
of day they see your usage spike for 12 hours?
I guess if it came down to it, you could install fake security lights
and blame it on those.
BTW during the summer months, my lights do come on at night.
