Lights per plant (bigger yield)

a friend told me he uses 1 1000watt light per 2 plants they say 1 light = 1 pound
and it doesn't matter how many plants you have!

they say they have around 27 1000watt lights and harvest 25 plants every 2 months coming out with 10 pounds.

im not really sure if i want to believe him yet, and go out and spend a shit load of money on more lights so im here for advice !

i grow in a room that is 6x7x8ft 2x1000watts + 1 x 400 watter. i flower them at @3ft they finish at 5ft. i get 4lbs

all depends on the size. These plants can get large, and the canopy size and height can easily lead to 1000w per 1-2 plants. It's not what most of us here are doing, we typically go with less powerful lights (or spread them out over more area) and go for smaller plants, but that's not to say that plenty of people aren't growing trees :) To get a pound per plant takes large plants, but is certainly doable (can get more). More common outdoors.

this is true, the bigger you let your plants grow before you flower them the more you will yield

your friends better check there math, 1 light = 1 pound x 27 lights = 27 pounds. 27000 watts and 10 pounds is nothing great thats like .25 g per watt or less.
