Lights & vent help

I was planning on using cfls but with the price of bulbs I have been debating a 150watt hps. Let me know what you think.

My cabinet is:
29 3/4" wide (broken into 2 sections with a divider 14 1/2" wide each)
25 3/4" Tall
11 1/2" deep
With no lights running 70 degrees in the box

Original Plan:
(4 lights in each side)
8 lights 6x 6500k 2x 2700k for veg
8 lights 8x 2700k for flowering.
1x 120mm fan 68cfm per side (2 total)
2x 2inch intakes for each side (4 total)
2x wal-mart diy crabon filters for exhaust

But debating a 150 watt htg supply remote ballast light in each side (2 total) then using 4" ducting into a T hooked to s&p td-100 with a 4" carbon scrubber.

My questions:
Would the hps make a improvement?
Would the single inline be enough to pull air for both sides?
If I did the hps would a single inline be better than 2x 120mm fans?
With a 150 watt hps could I get away with a single 120mm fan?

Thanks for the help so many choices and I want to make sure I am not re buying a lot after my first grow because I went cheap.

Dude, no one really knows how a system is going to operate until you put it together and let 'er rip.

I don't care how much build experience a person has, there's really no way anyone is gonna be able to give detailed analysis on equipemnt results from a description list.

Just keep these rules of thumb in mind. HID always outperforms Fluoro. The cooler you can keep your hid lamp the better.

I understand no one knows for sure but I was hoping someone with a similar sized cab had tried it and good give me some feedback. I would hate to buy it and it not work wasting money.

I dunno where your fans are pushing to, but if those are just 120mm computer fans, they're not going to do much. No matter how you slice it, they don't move the amount of air they are rated at if there's any resistance at all, which means filters, or ducting.

Yeah that's a small cabinet, but the ratio of light and wattage to cabinet space isn't good, and with two of them I don't think one of those fans per light would cut it. I could be wrong though, like previously stated, it's difficult to know for sure, but I wouldn't waste my money on those fans, especially if running through filters or duct. Even with the CFL bulbs, your airflow might suck, whether heat is a problem or not.

Yes a single inline would be plenty for both, and better for the HPS. You might still want the CFL for veg though, unless you get MH conversion that fits the HPS.

Also, remember that lumens don't add up with more lights, they just cover more area. So if one of the 150W HPS lights has a higher lumen rating than one of the CFL's, that means higher quality bud. Using more CFL bulbs will only make the coverage good, it won't equal a higher lumen output from a different bulb ;)

I decided to scrape the hps plan and ended up getting a htg supply 7 Band 135w UFO LED light. I plan on adding at least 2x 2700k cfls as well for flowering.

I might eventually knock out the divider and make it a straight veg only cabinet with a 400 watt hps and better cooling. But for now I will try my luck with a led.
