About how many CFL 100 Watts/ 23 watts would you need to grow about 3 plants?

you get about 7 thousand lumens per bulb so you would need about 8 to push the 50 thousand lumens mark, also i dont think they have the rite spectrum of light iv only used them for seedlings, id be surprised if any one ever got anything decent out of cfl's

it depends on the size of the grow area. rule of thumb is about 50w per sq ft. give or take. how big do you want the three plants (1 ft, 3ft, 6ft)?
