like my closet grow?

hey guys what do you think of my grow? i'm just learning, this is my third harvest and i have very little space to work with. still i'm making the best of it and am using my ~ 2 1/2' x 3 1/2' closet with a 400w HPS i got from HTGS, a 150w HPS that i got from china (one of those 30 bux lights, seems to be givin me more weight, but this is my first harvest using it so i'll compare at the end of harvest) and i'm using a 2ft 4 T5 light up top to veg so i can harvest between every 2-3 months.

it's tight in there and kind of annoying having to stand on a chair to attend my ladies in veg, but the time saving is great so its worth it for me

i am at exactly 6 weeks flower, i've been using a mix of nutes: FF big bloom and tiger bloom, pure blend gro flower and veg nutes, lime for Mg nd Cal, a pro-silica and bat guano for flower..my leaves are just starting to turn yellow a little more than i would like, maybe i'll try for some stronger veg dosages next time.

hey your buds look good.how did your firt plant due?? i planted a shiva skunk clone but dont know how any cfl i need to keep it good. now i have one 27w cfl bulb for one plant. 16days clones..

nice man! as someone who came from having a ton of space and a large operation, down to an extremely small one(due to move) ... But got a few ideas! thanks! post more soon!

re:jimmy. you def need more light than that...i'd recommend pickin up a growers bible and not starting till you're through with it...


ya space is an issue, can't wait till i can spread out!

grower bible?? what hard off taking care of one plant. its just need three thing, air,water and ligh.sorry 4 thing and good soil. mericle grow is good right??

jimmy i think your being a bit niave.... growing one plant is the same principle as growing many, its about controling a whole micro-environment! i spent months reading up before i attempted to grow at all and i still encounter problems. please educate yourself before you torture some poor lil seedling that could be loving my grow space!

i think i now 1 or 2 thing about growing weed i deed my research,i was just asking one question..

ok its just that plants need a lot more than you described!

for example miracle grow isnt good on the whole for weed ( check the forums and make up your own mind). im using it at the moment and it was a pain not bein able to control the nutes for the first 3 weeks or so.
just sayin that its harder than you think without hps or mh lights. i grew bagseed under cfls twice with niether getting to veg! when i got the hps though it got easy. problems still come bite ya in the ass though!!!

i actually used a miracle grow for my first harvest just for veg, and worked pretty well imho, it was just an 8-7-6 npk rating and i added 10-20 drops throughout veg, didn't burn and no deficiencies, so all good.

i'm growing 2 white widows in the front on either side are two super shivas (they're ready for harvest in like a wekk, 7 weeks total i swear) then my favorite an og diesel in the back center...hard to tell i can put up some better pics a lil later, the og diesel is great but takes like 9 weeks so still got a few weeks on her...other than that i have 8 ladies gettin ready for flower in my veg chamber i'm not exactly sure what but i think like 4 diesel, 3 WW, and a shiva...i don't do transitions in like one day but when i transplant i let the babies get used to their new pot for a week or 2 before turning to 12/12

just had to spray some neem oil, saw a little flyin buggy around my flowerin ladies, meas can't harvest for 2 weeks for sure...shouldn't be a problem though...


Anybody have major trouble with getting your plants able to stand up on their own once into flower? Mine always seem to start to flop under their own weight...I was told the

pro-silicon

would help with that, but it hasn't really been doing much, i'll see if it helps the ones i'm vegging now, using it all the way through...also i do have a gentle breeze going on em maybe i could use a little more wind power but ... any suggestions?

ya man i ended up with around 7 oz i think, good shit but i stilll had some problem with the dry/cure and they aren't as nice as i think they could be. i think a part of it tho is just i didn't have all the right nutrients and the strain wasn't all that great. oh well, i really wish i felt more confident with drying/curing though by now...

Your best bet is to go to a library and look for good books on growing plants in general, that way it's gonna be wrote by someone that is very educated in the whole science of it instead of some book wrote by a pothead who dropped out of school.

Great setup for such a small space! Do you have any issues with heat in there? I have my first set up in a similar space; it is cfl and I am constantly fighting with temp. And then the sound is increasing with the fans I use to pull out that heat. Would like to get hps but wondering if I will run into the same problem...

My 6 46w cfl's kick off a lot of heat, in relation, how does a 400w hps compare? I understand the bulb is significantly hotter, but how does that translate to the enclosed environment. From the looks of your setup, your ballasts appear to be also inside the closet... Of course I have heard of growers creating growing spaces with the ballasts on the outside to help control heat, but that is not always a possibility.
