you should worry about exhausting first... if you have exhaust then you will get negative pressure thus bringing in fresh air from any available source...

Much better way of putting it! A fan blowing air from your hallway isn't really going to do much except for maybe very small grows.

A 4 inch fan will not have a lot of air moving power but if it is just a closet for say then you're fine. In my 4x4x8 tents I have two six inch inline fans. one for my hood and one for fresh air. And thats overkill as the plants do not need that much fresh air, my hoods the more air the better as that equates to less heat but the tent its too much as it is flushing the tent to fast(will not build up co2) Co2 injectors is an investvent but worth it if you have a room, useless for a tent.

Yea it's a closet its 3x8x8 airs moving good just. Exsuting is what I used to do in my old room but it is no longer possible is this closet .. Guess I can always just get some co2 if it really becomes a problem what symtopms would I start see for lack of fresh air

well, why can't you just turn the fan you're using for intake around?:blsmoke:
...i mean otherwise yes you want the intake to be on the entire time the lights are on. Preferably 24/7 in your situation...:bigjoint:

good luck!

Because to light proof the closest I had to use panda film in front of the sliding doors and if I exhaust air I can't get enuff negative pressure thought the vent I cut in the wall that goes to my hallway and it creates a vacuum type suction and pulls the film in like a vacuum seal bag lol

thats the negative pressure you are looking for!
now you just need to cut a small HOLE in the panda paper preferably near the bottom. and you're in business!
Negative pressure will also contain the odor to your closet and the end of your exhaust.

Thanks bro I guess I could cut a slit along the bottom it just right now it's light proof ... My temps thought the night were 69-75 humidity got up to 50% gonna give it a week and see if the plants stress out to bad if so then I'll cut and exsasut ... I'm just going to leave the fan bring in fresh air on 24-7 or maybe just when lights on thanx for all your help

Sorry for the late reply. A closet is fine if you just have a small fan blowing air around. If you only have one or two plants then the air in the room is enough and like I said a small fan just causing a breeze in the closet will do. Co2 is something you do not need to worry about. The next thing is what kind of light source you have? if its a hid it will produce heat and you will need to vent the room or cool the bulb(air cooled hood, cool tube) so you will also need a source of fresh air or something cooler than the room. In my opinion a closet is only good for sprouts or a mother under a led or something that produces no heat. But saying that theres no reason why you can't grow a beautiful plant in a closet as long as you prepare the room right.

Yea I'm going to run 4 rails with three plants pre rail the closet is plenty big and I have a 600 watt in there right now pulling air from the room and exhausting into the attic and I have to hear issues my high temp get to 75 low is around 68.. Humidity high is 50 % probly will get higher with the other plants in there I have a dehumidifier if it gets to bad ...

Thats a big closet grow but you got it under control. Those temps are right on target. Makes me wonder what the original question was and what you need help with?

My original question was if pushing air into the room from an outside room would give me the same effect as pulling air from the room and exhausting it... Guess just time will tell i ordered some type of co2test kit hopefully it gives a general idea of where my co2 in the room sits with this type of ventilation
