so im about 90% done with my grow build, but still have some lingering questions and unsuraties with everything. i want to try and get it all done the first shot....which i know is nearly impossible for a newb let alone an experienced grower. please take a few mins to look over my grow design and let me know if i need/should alter anything. ill describe my grow in full detail to make it easier to get an idea of what i have going on. i also have a few questions about things like this:
1) i run ven tech fans (6" 440 cfm x3), can these fans run safely with a speed controller? ive read certain fans motors can be damaged with speed controllers. i would like to controll the speed of my carbon filter fan, and hood fans. and i cant find any info about the ven techs and speed controllers.
both tents are in basement and are directly on the floor. ambient temps are 70* +/-5* year round
Veg tent: 4x4x7 secret jardin 120 tent (sealed grow)
fan (6" 440cfm)/duct/tent/duct/AC hood/duct/tent/duct (fan is pushing air over socket then bulb) (venting to basement)
thermostatic digital fan switch (turns on/off fan (6" 440cfm) at certain temp range)
apollo XL a/c hood (cool tube), 600w dimmable hps/mh digital ballast (120v)
temp/humidity gauge at plant level (still need to buy)
either 1 16" adjustable oscillating fan OR 2 (5"/6"?) clip style stationary fans (still need to buy)
6" 250cfm booster fan for air intake (still need to buy) placed in lower tent hole
8" 500cfm booster fan for exhaust (w/6" reducer to fit tent opening) (still need to buy) placed in upper tent hole

going to run in soil. soil recipe is:
1 bag FFOF
1 bag FF original
1 bag FF light warrior
FF peace of mind (5-8-4) 1 cup
1/2 bag of perlite
dolomite powdered and pellets (unsure of ammount)
water:
tap water breathed for 3 days before using. ph'ing water before watering, or after nuts added to water jugs.
