My ladies are like week 6? I haven't counted days because I'm too new and was roo excited get this all set up and going plus I never thought I'd get this far ... anyway I just cleaned my res and system yesterday did and top down feed gallon water each pot (x7 pots only 4 plants pictured here) with plain RO 30 ppm water ph 6i refilled nutes and water using Silica, a tablespoon of Boost 16 tablespoons Grow, hydrogaurd was used and Ph too 6 my Ppm was at 719 after 3 feedings its like 800, my chat says week 4 I should be feeding with 1400ppm but that seems a little high esp with using the oxygen cubes for flood and drain every 3 - 4 hours my res is sitting at 22 gallons of water ATM

Should I add more Ro water PhD and dilute the Ppms to around 600 - 700 more than new to all this never watered a plant of any kind in my entire life all suggestions are appreciated because soon I won't be able claim first grow anymore as my autos have all popped I better get NY learning curves over (although they are in soil not coco and soil is Happy frog & ocean Forrest at 2 - 1 and perlite veiculite added in with mixes of some using only Gia greens veg nute and some having both veg and flowering I'm (like Mr Canuck) ✌

P.s I transplanted into 5 gal smart pots from the measly 3 they was in will I be able to flower in these 5 gal with them triple size through flower I assumed yes with self root pruning but I have 7 gal and 10 gal pots in storage waiting to save the day if need be

When it comes to defoliation I've been going at it but unsure if I can do too much and cause trouble or if I should really get in there because this tents a massive bush I've been lsting the shiz out of her and kept lights on 24 7 this whole time to keep condensed I've topped and fimmed lots and super cropped the amount of branches she had (the right one) I don't even know if I could count and so many are hidden bc huge fan leaves etc

I see no one has replied. First it is better if you use ec reading than ppm. Some pens use different measurements (either 500 or 700). Not sure which one you have. Me personally I never get over an ec reading of 1.6 which is 800 ppm on 500 scale. So I am going to assume that you are using 500 scale and say that 1400 ppm is to high.

If you are on the 500 scale In my opinion I would not go over 800 ppm. That is just my opinion. Others may say different. And to answer your question yes you can flowering 5 gal pots. I have grown in coco coir and used 5 gal pots. Also when I defoil I take everything off below about 3/8 to 1/2 way down.

that plant has some serious deficiencies in something(s).

what is your nute recipe? what pH? what EC/ppm?

I'm on the 500 ppm scale and the nutrients are lotus brand I agree seems they want me to kill every plant by extreme toxicity wtf do all nutrient labels do that
Lotus nutrient schedules always run very hot, the people I know that use them typically run it at 70% strength (varies depending on what the strain will tolerate), lower in early stages.

Some of my plants are HEAVY failing kinda hurts the ol feelers I don't even know what to do, I feed every 4 hours yesterday's res replacement was 20 gal RO water at 30 ppm I added 18 tbs grow 1 tbls bloom 1/4 cup silica blast and 30 ml hydrogaurd that'd all that's in there but these 2 in the other tent I feel need to be laid to rest I've tried so hard to jurse them back but she's just continually degrading gd this sucks

Ph has been kept between 5 8 - 6.2 but how can I trust these absolute GARBAGE ph pens I have 4 that I absolutely 100 percent feel are trash imo all pens are absolutle TRASH hopefully this arriving tomorrow will help I need to find a brand nutrients I don't have to duck with the ph bc I'll never trust one of those pos pens again EVER

I've probably easily spent over 10 grand in current set ups overall electricity water nutes tents gauges blah blah blah so seeing my plants fail have my heart super heavy, really hard mostly because I don't know what's wrong if I could just learn from this fine but I'm failing without understanding just to repeat the same with these autos that popped probably .... sucks being a failure

I highly doubt root rot as my res has zero smell whatsoever and even after 8 days not changing the res water that comes out smells like plain water and crystal clear fluid, the inside hoses was a little slippery but not to the point there was a colored slime just seemed a little slippery.

I did add perlite and vermiculite to the coco coir + perlite mix I was sent perlite seemed a little light brand was root royal

I didn't understand coco for a long time I was treating the coco like Soil lifting pot to see when low on water for the last 2 weeks I've been feeding every 4 hours

As for photos that's what these ones are and I kinda hoped I'd learned enough to start fresh with something as too maybe I've fuxed these plants up beyond repair but I did like the fact I can long term try to maintain and nurse photos to learn

Forgot to mention I added cal mag as always aswell

From the reading over been doing it told me you very well can treat coco like soil but you will get soil results I thought the whole purpose of coco was that you could keep the soil 90 percent saturated at all times ? Def not disputing what you say just showing you my understanding and why I've done what I don't thank you for taking the time to give me your advice
