Little to no crystals on buds?

I'm harvesting a plant I grew from some random seed I found (first time grow).

The leaves on the buds seem to have little to no crystals at all. Perhaps more importantly, there is NO smell. Or rather, not the smell you would expect. When I get in close and smell the buds, they either smell like freshly mowed grass or like mint.

So anyways, I'm starting to worry that this harvest will be weak. Is the THC found primarily in the crystals, the non-fan leaves, the roundish little buds where the pistils come out from or perhaps the pistils themselves?

The strain that you have harvested have you harvested to early.Sometimes it is best to give a plant that has no crystals to see a exrta few week this may help but it may just be a none high thc strain.

Looks like poor lighting. Look how airy the bud looks.. I'm guessing this was a cfl grow with not enough cfl lights.... I see trichomes though so it should still get you high if plucked at the correct time. Trichome coverage is also genetics.... It may be one that doesn't get much....you've been a member since 2009 I believe... Have you seen this before?

I have grown the same strain several times(Clones) and the last grow I added a few UVB Reptile bulbs hanging between the Gals.
Made a big difference on the Frost effect.
FYI I'm using Blackstar LED panels.

Unfortunately, I took these pics after taking them off the branches and trimming the last of them. Hopefully they'll be clear enough...
Looks like a few things may have happened. It looks like the plant may have been sativa dom by the looks of your bud. Sativa take longer to flower and you could have simply harvested early. Also, it looks to me like your plant may have had a little nitrogen toxicity. Which I do believe makes things take a bit longer as well. Could be a combo of these things, could be none of em. Just some ideas to think about!
