looking for a good AC unit for 4000 watts

Looking to buy a new ac unit for my flower room I have four 1000 watters going I'm running a portable unit now that 12000 btu it keep the room around 80. Need to get the number back down to the low 70. The reason I'm posting this I'm looking for something that saves energy but still works great. The way my room set up I can't have a window unit I'm thinking a mini split unit be good but don't know much about them so ill be doing the install myself I'm handy when it comes to building so that no biggie. Thanks

mini split is really your only option then. They do come pre-charged so it is a DIY install.

Idk what a mini split is bro sorry. Can you get an in room AC unit? They are not cheap. Like 500 but mb on sale as it is the end of the season. Shop around.

A mini split is a typical house A/C basically. It has a small condenser outside and small unit inside. Connected with a line set so the two units can be anywhere from 0ft to 35ft away. They tend to run in the ballpark of 1500-3000 bucks.

The biggest benefit IMO is the fact that there is not air exchange like you have in a typical window unit or even in the best 2-hose portable A/C "like I use" Well and the fact that you can get a mini-split that is fuckin huge! So cooling 4k lights isnt a problem :)

Id look into some basic heat calcuations to figure out how much air and at what temperature you need to mix. Psychrometrics chart will help you. I have one at home I'm at work right now so I cannot look. Its easy stuff and will allow you to pinpoint what your supply air temp and humidity will need to be to take your current conditions to ideal conditions. I think a 2 ton ductless split is what you want. Every ton of cooling is 12000btu/hr. You'll need a condenser outside and refrigerant lines run from the condenser to the indoor unit which will have a blower a coil and an expansion valve. The condenser outside will have a fan to blow off excess heat on the coil and a compressor to change the coolant from hot to cold.

I saw a split all in one stacked unit on monstergardens(forget brand name) but it was designed for horticulture. You can even use the condensate for filtered free water. They cost like 4k for a 3ton unit though.

Either way its going to be expensive

Heat exchange made out of a radiator! Cold water pumped thru radiator fan blowing air thru radiator! Best thing about this is if it not enough ad another radiator!
