Hi everyone, I'm looking for a good instructional video or article on how to build a cheap but effective LED grow light. I'm trying to light a 3x3 foot area, and will be doing a SOG. Thanks for the help!

Here's a series done by Growmau5 that uses COB's.
The first video is a simple build for a 4 COB light and the second video is the first in a series of 6 videos that goes over COB's in more detail.
I have built several of these lights and they are nice and super bright!
The really neat thing about using COB's is that you aren't tied to any configuration, you can set them up how you like, on a frame, or independent so they can be adjusted individually and if a COB's blows out it's like $20 to replace it.
Simple Build:
