Looking for seeds for a friend..

So a dude trying to get into growing asked me, what seeds do you recommend?
I replied, it depends on what type of weed you like , man

He is a dabber so he said he just wants the most potent shit he can get, the "strongest"

He intends on extracting dabs out of the end product so I want to make sure I point him in the right direction for a strain.
To me, strong means sedative. Something you don't wanna smoke at the beginning of the day where you are trying to work..f
so I recommended any breath crosses.. I tried punch breath which had mendo breath 15 in it and it was very "strong"

what would yall recommend? I am looking for seeds in the eastern US

Northern lights is great for starters. It’s his first grow don’t expect 30% thc just be happy if he gets dried cured weed.
Worry about making dabs after it’s grown

-edit-I can suggest a crazy exotic clone only strains for $500 each but who wants to waste money on those genetics when they may kill it

Usually I steer people toward Cheese crosses when they want something for extraction because I've always had great luck with making dry sift from them, but that's mostly because of how much hash they drop and how well the terps hold up in hash. But they're not necessarily the strongest; and I don't extract past dry sift or sometimes bubble hash, so not sure how well that would translate to rosin/dabs.

I guess a good question might be what type of extraction?

I would look at guys that breed for the extracts, guys like Harry Palms - Bloom Seed Co as an example.

He wants to make dabs so he is probably going to be getting a rosin press. I don't do dabs much sometimes I press some of my flower but I don't know much about it.

What breeder /seedbank are you talking for the cheese? Thank you for the input , I appreciate the help. How about the NL?

Any other strain recommendations?
Not looking for clones just a pack of seeds he can start with preferably femmed because it is his first run. He is only growing flower to make dabs, also is there any extraction recommendations besides rosin pressing?

I checked that breeder out thanks a ton! I know nothing about the strains used but I can show him that breeder at least and let him decide, I appreciate it

Honestly, everything I've tried with the Exodus Cheese terp out front has made great hash and yielded a lot with dry ice extraction, including autoflowers. We had a homemade cut that was Blue Cheese (unknown but possibly old Barney's) X Critical Kush (Dinafem, I think) that would make excellent hash. The cut is gone but there are still a few fem seeds around. We've popped several over the last few years and they've all been pretty similar, so going to try to hunt the couple of beans I have left and grab a few more from my partner that has the rest. Another recent standout that kind of surprised me was Mephisto's Stilton Special autoflower. Other than Sundae Driver, that's probably the tastiest dry sift I've had in a long time. The Sundae Driver hash was purchased, not personally made; and I haven't grown it or done anything with it but smoke, so I don't know how well it produces or anything, but you might ask people who have about that one too. I love the terps and the buzz is about a 50/50 indica/sativa. Shit stinks up the whole house and halfway out into the yard off one little dugout pipe full.

It's OK lol, I know some people make up imaginary friends because they're scared of being caught. It is legal to grow here so I'm not worried.

I don't grow to make dabs but if you have any recommendations for an indoor strain I would appreciate it.

I am growing a few MOBs right now indoors trying to find the best pheno to keep for the outdoor season next year

Seed Cellar in Jackson Michigan has what your friend needs...they have seeds from many reputable breeders and I would say he/she could find that 30% strain if they look hard enough...

Where's the MOB from? I have always wanted to try that one but seems there are several different "real" versions in seed form; and I have no idea what's good and what's not with those. I think I do have a MOB X Blue Bonnet cross from Matt Riot, but nothing else with it even the mix.

The seeds are from TH seeds . I haven't been able to test the flower yet but the strain checks off alot of boxes for surviving the shitty late season new England weather. MoB crosses sounds like fun it is a very fragrant berry smelling strain and I'm sure since it is so resilient it would toughen up some wispy strains.
I wanted a clone of the mob but couldn't get my hands on it so a friend gave me some seeds and a clone of his to try out
Some of the buds have a dark purple hue on the lower branches , and I think as I go deeper into flower the buds may have a nice autumn effect for bag appeal

They are very woody plants that don't like being bent too

I used to be against any defoliating until I encountered some PM and mold issues and I decided to be more aggressive with defoliation and add some fans to help with airflow. It will be good to know I am not gonna lose my harvest at the end this time. Last time I lost my crop from spider mites and time before was the PM and mold.
Live and learn right?

So I have suggested to my buddy that cheese would be a good place to start for extractions.
He told me also he would like to grow an indica dominant because his wife enjoys flower and would be smoking the crop as well.
This is his first run and I am happy he is interested in what genetics to start with because it means he is thinking about more than just setting up his room

I appreciate all the awesome input everyone, if anyone has any other recommendations for an indica dominant extraction strain I'd appreciate it so I can give him some options
