Looking for some advice.. any idea what's going on with these plants? [pics attached]

Usually heat would cause the top leaves to burn first, is that happening? Your pics show a lot of dry and yellow leaves in the middle and bottom. Though the plant on the right has a burnt top.

What kind of system are you using? I see a light but no extractor etc... it might even be over-nuting.

damn.......TO MANY FOOD you can see that on the purple steals also the leaves are dry, they will curl en died.........
whats your PH? whats your EC? to many........

iff the lamp burns, must do that on the top and not in the middle of it.......

yea this is not from the heat i would flush the soil and cut down on the nutes use only water for a week or 2

The plants are two close to lights on top that whats causing the dead leaves on top of the right one. Also maybe lack of air flow going on?

There is also some kind of def. going on in your plants. To the best of my knowledge i would say lack of nitrogen, Have you been using any fert.?

Yeah its a combination of the following. These noobs have no idea. The main piece of evidence is the yellowing of the leaves from the bottom to the top. I'd say give them some nitrogen fert and cut away dead and yellow leaves. As for the plant on the right top it to keep it away from light.

Ok I might be a noob who has no idea and it may be a nitrogen deficiency, however, how can anyone know it is a nitrogen deficiency without knowing what nutes you are using. The pics tell more than one story! If you are using nutes, then my money is still on over-nuting. If you are controlling your nutes well, then yeh it may well be a nitrodeficiency... do you have air pump for reservoir?

Remove the dead leaves. all the others will still help. And yes it's too close to the light as well which is adding to your problem.

looking again to the pics:
i see: a reflecting fole (or how to call it) the metal in half the plant is NOT good please remove these.
the leaves on the side wil grow to that wall and NOT to the top also.
Reflect around the plant will make the plants also verry stressfull. also they will burn away.
when you get to week 7-8 and the leaves under will be brown or dry thats no problem because the finnish already.

Thanks for all your input. With so many variables and symptoms being similar for different causes, this growing business is proving a bit of a nightmare. These plants certainly haven't been overfed so I'll give them a nitrogen rich feed. Ph is 7. I'll be buying a grow tent I think as despite the temperature not getting above about 85, this cupboard is way too small, not enough air, plants too close to the light, no room to spread etc... as some of you suggested, they're stressed.

If you are in the bud cycle remember your plants don't need that much nitrogen, they need more potassium and phosphorous. I thought I saw some buds in your pictures. They can still use some nitrogen in the bud phase but don't overdo it.

either this guy has the lower syndrome or hes trying to fuck with your grow.. if that was a deficency your leaves would be yellow at the bottom and not burned. if anything you fed it way way too much. try flushing it out and removing some of the dead leaves. (those brown leaves wouldnt be there unless they have been yellow for weeks and then died) ive brought back overfed plants but it took a while to see improvements. if you keep records of your feedings look back and see if you started with a full strenght mixture or just fed it too often.

they say if your a douche then you probably cant grow bud and if you do youll get a weak grade low yield jus because its whats in you that represents itself in ur buds so if your a douche youll get douchy bud for sure....unless your a douche with a 1000watt hps then it wouldnt matter lol...

Did you say 85*?

Thats kinda warm.. And foil creates hot spots.

If you get rid of that dead shit. The plants don't look to bad. you need to get your ph down to 5.5-6. Bet that would cure your nute lock out. looks like it got a little nute burn at some point. and now is starting to get some n,mg and cal. diff.

If you are growing in soil, you don't want to lower your pH down to 5.5-6. Soil needs to be at pH 6.5-6.8. At 6.4 and lower, you will start to lock out Calcium and Magnesium. If you say your pH is 7, don't lower it any more than to 6.5.

sorry thought that was a dwc setup. soil I would try for 6-7. so your ph isn't off to bad.
