Looking for some advice

Hey everyone, Im new to the thread and have no idea about growing. I had some questions to ask and hope they can get answered.

I was thinking about starting growing my own plant indoors, one at first just to try it out, and was wondering what kind of lights i needed, how much wattage for how big a space, what else i need to do to prepare the area...any other advice would be helpful thanks

Thanks i have a closet, about 2 ft wide 7 ft long like i said i only wanted to test it out with one right now but i was wondering what good techniques there are for setting up a space obviously i wont use the whole closet and also i have access to whateeer lights i need my buddy has numerous lights but i will check those sites out

what are your goals? are you just doing this for fun or to save $ on weed? set some goals for yourself like how much you would like to harvest per plant and how often you would need to harvest to stay supplied or w/e. once you sort that out, you can figure out what sort of grow area to design to accomplish those goals...and we can help! :)

no dickweed, no pun intended.....all i wanted you to do was help me out on the lights, soil, procedures and proper ways to plant...maybe some technique youve picked up along the way.......YOU'RE not going to collect these items, YOU'RE not going to germinate the seeds, YOU'REnot going to plant them and YOURE not going to take care of them so if you call answering a few questions ALL the work then i dont want it from you.

Youre advice is "short kurt".....whatever the fuck that means

Quite a sharp toungue you have for someone looking for help ;)

Tip one: be friendly and others return it. good luck in the learning process, however i would advise you read the links bricktop and roseman provided you with. everything you would need to know is there.

Gee snorklin, kinda short tempered there, man. He just meant that if you're really serious about this, you'll spend a few DAYS reading the faqs and threads here, or on the Gardens Cure, and find the answers for your situation yourself.
BUt if you want a short list, you'll need 1 600 hps, 1 5gal bucket, 1 aquarium pump, the General Hydroponics flora series of nutes (3 bottles), a 6 inch netcup, some hydroton, a peat moss plug to put your seed in. Put everything in the bucket and stir. If your just farting around before you go to jail, you can get by with a 400 hps.

Besides, what kind of f** closet is 2x7??? My t-shirts are 2 feet wide! That's a secret passage, and you just haven't figured out how to open the other door!
