this is my first grow so i decided to try the BUDS FOR LESS method using MG(already had plenty on hand). everythings been fine till i decided to flower, when i misted the plant 15mn or so before lights out, which caused some leaf burn. then the next day the 1st set of true started yellowing on my NL, then a couple days later the same is starting on my Jock Horror. imo its a nute deficiency of some sort. so ive read all about the horror stories with MG burns but i feel that i will need some supplemental nutes shortly, but im not too worried atm. anyone have any suggestions besides not using MG anymore?

Every time I spray leaves something bad happens. When I water I'm careful not to get any water on plant. Don't worry just water and wait
ur plants will be ok. Ur plants look a little over watered get a moisture probe and watch over watering. I never follier spray now.
I am not a vet grower hope u get some more bumps.

are you using mg soil or just their nutes? that soil looks like a much higher quality soil than mg unless you amended it. if it's mg soil it has time release nutes and shouldn't cause any def this soon. how old are the plants? they look a few weeks. if you used a good soil it might be getting time to feed. the yellowing on the older leaves looks like n def but the speckles look like burn. how old are they and what kind of lights and soil are you using? what have they been fed?

yeah its an 80%mg/20%vermiculite mix with time release nutes. i think the crisis is averted for now...i think the burns had alot to do with it. i clipped and trimmed the dead and really damaged leaves and no others have started yellowing. atm theyre 22 days old and have only been fed ph'd water. was feeling that i might want to feed but am worried about burning them. so far theyve been raised on cfl's only. atm each has over 100 actual watts on em. going by BUDS FOR LESS im ahead or at least even with his book grow. im looking for suggestions on what kind of nutes and how should i apply them without killing them. got anything?

I am a noob grower, but everytimeI sprayed mine it was "mid day" for the plant. i guess it absorbed as much as it could then the rest evaporated. Never had any problems with spraying. JMO

if that yellowing is new it might be hungry for some N. one of those looks like a 5 gal bucket. if that's true and the plants are that size after 23 days they just might be hungry, even with mg soil. that's a hell of a growth rate with cfl. if you are using mg nutes try giving like 1/4 the reccomended dose and see how they respond. what mg nutes are you using? for veg you probably want to stick with the all purpose or whatever one has the highest ratio of N, and swap to the bloom food at 12/12. just make sure to use less then what the bottle reccomends and burn shouldn't be an issue. a few of those pics show plants that are hungrier for N than others, so pay attention to the plant. they don't look like they have similar needs.

3 of the pots are only 2gal and the blue one is 3. all of that growth is with just mg potting soil and ph'd water, no nutes. i had em on 24hrs light for 15 days.ive got some schultz ferts(10-10-10) but havent used em and i figure ill need better flower nutes later on. started lst 2 days ago...does it matter when lst is started? theyve responded nicely and have already shown alot of growth on inner sites. i prob should have top/fimmed during veg and did lst then but learning as i go. will get it next go round. yeah they do respond differently....think i'll go pick up some better flower nutes. later.....
