Looks Like Bud Rot on one Bud? Harvest it, Whole plant, Wait??

So this plant is getting close to harvest. I don’t think it is quite there but I did notice on one of the buds it had some bud rot going on. Every other bud I looked at did not appear to have this. I noticed it because there was a dying sugar leaf on that bud. Do you think I need to harvest that individual bud, harvest the plant, or do you think it will be ok to let it go on?

First outdoor grow, and second grow ever so I am lost on this.

Thanks for the help.

If you already checked the rest of the plant, and it looks good, then just amputate the affected area.

Be careful to not spread the spores around. Bag it and throw in trash.

The rest of it looks like your in good shape aside from that one bud.

There are two kinds of bud rot. One caused by the poop from budworms and that kind is local. The other is when the plant rots from the inside out. That kinds is systemic. Once it shows up, the entire plant is infected. Sorry but it looks like you have the systemic kind. If so, more rot will show up in the next few days.

If its systemic rot its not safe for any use. Trash it and try to keep the spores from spreading to other plants. And then get rid of that affected soil.

What about environmental? Third kind. From trapped moisture in dense buds? That and caterpiller poop are top of my causes. Humid area! But you know what your talking about thats for sure. Wasnt knocking anything you said growslut. All good advice.

Well I bit the bullet and didn’t get greedy. I saw a few more with this going on. It was very very little even in the buds that were affected. This is my first outdoor harvest and I have 5 plants left. This was my yield from this plant.

the buds on the concrete are the buds that were affected.
I have these plants with a fan going and a dehumidifier going.

I will dry them faster because of this.

this is why i think ive got br on a couple occasions....micro climates of humidity because a fan wasnt pointed in that exact area

First of all, I think you did the right thing in harvesting. In my experience if you got some rot showing even on one bud, you can all but guarantee you've got it on others but you just can't see it yet. That's the shitty thing about bud rot, by the time you notice it, it's already too late.

I wouldn't be rash and just cook your buds now on pavement. Look over your large buds and cut out any rot you see and just let them dry normally. It's probably only in your larger buds. Rushing the drying and curing aspect of harvesting usually results in a shite taste.

So those are the buds that were infected with the bud rot that were on the pavement. Lol

The good stuff is hanging up with a fan blowing now and a dehumidifier set to 45-50%
