I had 4 plants, 2 bubblegums and 2 purple arrows, but I had to leave for a week and before I left, I noticed slowed growth with one bubblegum, but thought it was cause the pH kept rising out of wack. But then I after I left I started thinking that could be related to root rot, and what do you know, I get back and the plant looks like dog shit, drooping leaves, deficiencies...root rot. What was once a lush plant that took up its own 4x4 space, is now about dead, and I have no clue what to do since I used h2o2 in the 18-gallon DWC, and I added a whole nother pump to the entire plant to get air flowing, even changed totes, and its still just going downhill, so now I'm expecting imminent death for that one.
But now, I've got 3-600 watters, and 2-1000 watters to put on THREE plants, and they are large plants, but I'm thinking that the light won't even help much, they're already a week into flowering, and are doing well besides the dying one.
So now I'm thinking, what do I do with the lights? I previously had a 1000 watter over each purple arrow, and the 3-600's along the bubble gums, but I'm pretty much SOL as far as bringing more plants into the mix, but I do lack c02 at the moment, so does that probably look like a must for my situation? Will I probably not benefit from throwing a shit ton of light at only 3 plants? 4 previously took up an 8x8 area, but now one 1/4 of that mass is gone.
2 of my 600-watters are in cool tubes, and I was thinking of maybe hanging them sideways and attempting to get a ton of side-lighting in, but would that be not as good as from ahead? Although there is a ridiculous amount of light from above, and hardly any from the side? I also have 2-200 watt t5's in storage that I'm thinking of using, for side lighting, but my friend doesn't think its worth the electricity. The purple arrows are only supposed to take 45 days, so I figure any electric bill is just something down the road to really worry about.
So the main question is, will throwing insane amounts (without burning) of light at the plants be worth the insane electric bill? Or should I go take down some lights lol.
Thanks for answering.
