mold grows in humid warm warm warm places, 82 degrees is stupid hot in this apartment, usually keep it 10 degrees cooler =/ . i keep my jars in my closet up away from my critters, (cats ferret) and ive also got my comp in my room which i run all night for different reasons which increases the temp in my room anyhow cause of how hot it runs.
i know most of these issues are pretty much my fault, but, with limited living space, shit happens. just sux is all.

to be truthful it makes no sense to me either, this was the first week of curing, i was burping the jars twice daily.
No mold at all yesterday, the bud even smelled devine, then today most of it was covered. the only difference i noticed in this entire equation is that i woke up sweating my nutz off this morning.

I have cured bud in those temps, sounds like it was not dry to begin with? Was it a cola or something from a indica?

Im not saying it wasnt my fault, it probably was and ill be first to admit that.
I live in the desert, so drying (at least my experience has been) happens fast, 2-3 days of hang drying with good air circulation and the buds feel nearly decrepit to me.
wasnt a cola, lots of mini ones cause i did a lot of super cropping to these plants.
puzzles the shit out of me honestly

it sounds to me u had an underlining problem before last night. Are u sure u were burping the jars properly

there's a right and wrong way to let fresh air into a jar?
heres my method: first i take the jar in hand and give it a series of gentle shakes on its side to loosen the gravity-packed buds. Then i open the jar and leave it for about 2 minutes while i do the same to the rest of the jars, rinse, repeat.

who said anything about drying? i was curing when this happened. i think i even posted earlier in the thread that i live in the desert, hang dry for only like 2-4 days(cause any longer the buds would become decrepit.
Maybe i didnt dry them enough is what should have been said. i seem to be getting ridiculed more than helped on this matter.
Its just mold in a frickin jar. whats so damn complicated?
I dont know, maybe i can chock it up to this being my first indica dom plant to actually push out thick sticky dense buds AND i didnt let it dry enough, seems to be the most logical (and popular) explanation.
Thank you PeachOibleBoible for sharing your experience, it allowed me take a step back and self analyze for answers.

almost 100% sure you did not dry your buds all the way.
and when you burp your jars you should check the buds for dryness sometimes a jar or 2 will be pretty damp and you should leave it open for way more then 2 min, well you should leave them all open for more the 2 min but the damper ones way longer
I dont think it had anything to do with some one turning up your heater

wait a minute... rinse and repeat? wtf? thats ur problem there.. am i reading it wrong? rinsing buds with water???
