Yep, I bought a loupe, and another thingy just to end up buying the usb microscope for $20.A good smart phone can do a decent job but if you want a true and definitive answer a digital microscope is under $30 and cool to boot. Takes 5 min to setup w an app, then you zoom like you cannot do w a loop or phone

Some newer growers are scoping their plants well before they're ready, seeing some amber trichomes, calling it done, and chopping way too early. A loupe isn't needed to tell when a plant is ready. I can tell just by looking at the plant.
